This entire operation was unprofessional from start to finish. I made a reservation through their website. I received an email titled "Confirmation of your reservation". I arrived at the store promptly at AM when they theoretically open. They were not open. I called and a woman in Dover answered rudely Who answers the phone with "I'm with a customer right now, please hold"? She told me they should be open and she would call the desk person on her cell phone.

The woman at Parsippany showed up at , with three customers waiting. She did not even apologize for being so late, just unlocked the door, said "good morning", and "who's first? Then the real trouble began. They did not have my reservation. I showed her the email from Rent-a-Wreck that said "Confirmation". She told me that was from corporate, but you don't actually have a reservation unless the local office contacts you.

Then the run-around began. They did not have the size van that I needed. Then they could give me a different one for an additional cost. Then they could wave the additional cost but give me no free miles. Then they could give me some free miles if I picked it up at a different location, but not as many as my original reservation said. Ultimately, we called Uhaul. They had vans available. It was a little more expensive, but they were very professional, reliable, clean, and easy.

From now on, I will pay a little more for better service, courtesy, and reliability. I had a bad feeling from the moment I stepped in.

I booked a 2 day car reservation and I advised them that may only need it for one day. They said I would get a prorated refund based on when I bring it in. They still charged me for two full days after I asked about the refund, slipping me the final bill hoping I wouldn't notice. Long story short, I rent the car for 2 days, take it back within 27 hours, and they charge me in full after promising differently.

Nothing about this shop seems legit, and you should rent for a little more from a real company instead of cheaping out here and paying for it later whether it be hidden costs or compromised customer service. Crooked place. Although we had reserved a passenger van, they were not available and we were given the passenger van for the same price.

The van was clean and in good shape, staff was courteous, both on the day we picked up and dropped off, and prices were as advertised. We made our reservation over the phone, so cannot comment on the last reviewer's claim regarding online reservations. Will definitely use them again. Really bad experience.

Car was worse than a wreck - falling apart! Made the reservation on line and they did not have my reservation in the system when I showed up as it had to be manually entered by someone not on site. A call to that person and they found my reservation but I waited 15 minutes while they set it up. Car smelled like cigarettes and urine but I was stuck as I needed to be someplace so I had to take it was their only car. There was a hole in the floorboard covered by a mat. And read the small print - outrageous charge for every mile over 50 miles for reservations made on line.

I made multiple attempts to reach out to the company while standing in ABC Parking, Newark where I was asked to pick up the car but could not reach them. After getting no response from the merchant, I had to make on-the-spot reservation with another company at Newark airport by paying much higher amount that I would have paid them by making advance purchase.

I even could not reach this company over next few days as well. All my calls went to voicemail and they did not reply back to my mails. When I requested merchant for the complete refund as the services were not provided as expected and car they provided was not at all used.

I was told they will look into it and refund my amount. No one has reached out to me so far. I would sincerely request everyone NOT to do any business with this company. Biggest POS ever! Massive dents all over the outside and a huge 2ft crack across the windshield. The inside was disgusting, too. The passenger side door handle was like melted off so when I went to close the door, I got some sticky goo all over my hand. When pressing the ignition start button, it took several tries to get the car to start and the entire dashboard moved in at the same time.

The car made a crazy loud cranking sound when making a right turn and had no suspension and questionable power steering. I'm guessing this car came from a salvage yard and is not even legal to drive. Every warning light was lit on the dashboard so we were worried the car would break down.

The state of NJ requires a vehicle inspection sticker; ours had none. We called to return the car so we could get a safer one but were told there are no refunds for pick ups from EWR airport. People, do yourselves a favor, rent a car from legit companies, doesn't matter which one, even if the rental price is double then this scam company offers. That way you will save your time and money. The cars they give you are total junk, surprisingly they have inspection labels, I was worried that I will get killed driving one.

Upon arriving to Newark Airport, I called ABC Parking to arrange for shuttle pick-up and was given inaccurate directions to locate the shuttle pick-up. This lead me to circling the airport numerous times trying to locate the pick-up location.

I had called ABC Parking to see if they could clarify directions and the woman seemed very bothered and like she didn't know what to tell me. After finally arriving to ABC Parking, the attendant pulled my vehicle up.

I was shocked to see a Ford Mustang when I had requested an economy car. Having formerly owned a Mustang, I know that is far from being an economy car and is not good in gas mileage. The vehicle's back tire was also flat. ABC Parking was kind and filled the vehicle's tire up with air. I was reluctant to accept this vehicle, but with it being the holidays I knew I was most likely out of options. Driving the vehicle was a nightmare.

The window defroster was broken which resulted in a very cold driving experience. The vehicle was in overall very poor condition with buttons being broken, the inside wreaking of smoke, and very shaky wheel suspension. The attendant at ABC Parking also made a comment saying, "They rent these cars to people and don't even check the condition. I was very irritated with this outcome due to the fact that I had my family in this vehicle and felt like I was putting their life, as well as my life in jeopardy.

This whole ordeal made my Thanksgiving this year not very fun. I am very disappointed with my Rent-A-Wreck experience and will not be doing business with them in the future. To rent vehicles like this to people is unethical and immoral.

I didn't find the paperwork process in advance to be an issue, and the people weren't that bad, but this piece of poop that I picked up at the Trenton airport had me in complete shock. It was a very old, and battered maroon Hyndai elantra or something It was embarrassing, the condition of this WRECK would not pass inspection and was a hazard to myself and others to drive.

I tried to swap out "but we don't have any available". The car made a terrible noise in the front axle thought the wheel was falling off. It also rattled when going over a bump, something was loose underneath and jiggling around.

The tire pressure light was on the entire time, although the tires were not low? The radio did not work - never expected that one - quite a miserable experience.

The windshield had a 24 inch crack through the entire passenger side - they told me this was OK and wouldn't be a problem. The passenger side door was badly dented, with the mirror taped on and visable dry wall screws holding the panel onto the door! Starting a new paragraph because the list just goes on: car smelled bad, was terribly dirty, and had stains on each and every seat cushion Scratches around the entire car, and the trunk was cracked down the middle where you put the key in.

I probably could have taken a sledge hammer to this piece of junk and the company would not have known the difference. I deleted all my photos because it was embarrassing to think that I actually rented this turd pile, and having them on my phone reminded me of the idiot I was who rented it. In the end this will cost me much more than Avis or any other vendor in the area Be cautious when renting from this place.

Car broke down 20 minutes after we started driving. These reviews scared me but the airport location was efficient and the price was great. NO issues and great service!! Will do this again. I called and asked if they were close to the EWR airport. The woman that answered was instantly very rude and irritated at the question. She told me they were 5 minutes away. So then I asked for the address. Again she sounded very annoyed and told me "we don't give that out until after the contract is signed.

She tone got even more rude said that they don't give out this information as they don't want people to go directly there without booking. I explained to her that I was planning to book the car over the phone and then drop a friend off to pick up the car.

She continued her rude tone and refused to give me the actual location until after I signed a contract. I decided to try to find the location on Yelp and came across all 1 star reviews, including a rude woman answering the phones.

After reading the other reviews, I'm glad that I didn't book a car here. They sound absolutely horrible. Honestly can't believe this place is in business. The car they gave me was a complete train wreck and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 5 years. I asked for another car and they gave me one that wouldn't even start, so I had to take it. Covered in dents, rust, with a literally screwed on bumper, this K mile gem had the engine light on, airbag light on, no radio and cigarette burns, ashes, soda spills and likely blood on the seats.
